Good pint and tasty beef and blue cheese sandwich.
Old style country pub, with elevated food presentation. Great location for quiet overnights and access to lots of walking routes. Room are very clean whilst basic, however there is every thing you need for a nights stay. Dog friendly if kept calm and leashed. Finall, "YES" we will return again.
Lovely pub spot for a well-earned meal after our 10k walk up Buckden Pike and down into the next village. Friendly staff and a warm, welcoming atmosphere — dogs are very welcome too! The menu had a great veggie option: mushroom and cheese on toast, which was delicious. Food is served until 2:30pm, but if you miss the kitchen, homemade flapjacks are available at the bar for just £2 — an absolute bargain.
