Six of us arrived without booking for a food and drinks following a long Dartmoor walk on a Sunday afternoon. The bar and dining areas were busy but we were politely welcomed and seated within 10 minutes. Honestly the best roast I’ve had in a very long time! The service was just as good as the food. There’s a lovely log burner and it’s perfectly traditional, which I just love! Thank you for accommodating us last minute.
Felt very unwelcome. Unfriendly staff. The fake kindness was noticeable as well. Especially from the blonde hair young lady. Food, room and ambiance were okay I suppose. But the professionalism wasn’t exactly there.
Friendly service with great food at a reasonable price. We love it here and make it our regular stop off on our way to Cornwall.
Really friendly staff , clean room and homely place. Food was really good and unreal walks literally just behind the hotel . Food and drinks nicely priced too .
Stopped at The Fox and Hounds for some lunch. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the place has a nice, relaxed pub-like atmosphere. The food was decent, nothing overly fancy, but tasty and satisfying. All in all, quite all right really, a comfortable spot for a casual meal and a friendly chat.
