As a replica of Bent's Fort, it's a cultural crossroads on the historic Santa Fe Trail. This area institution, which has been reviewed in the New York Times, serves up southwestern fare to everyone from lounging locals to heads of state including President Clinton during 1997's economic summit. Scrumptious servings of buffalo and elk tantalize the tongue. More traditional fare like salmon, filet mignon and even a vegetarian plate is also available. Open Monday to Friday at 5:30pm and at 5:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

Thomas Jefferson 's mac and cheese! Great martinis! For these days.....tables have a lot of distance and care is taken to make you feel safe. They have an outdoor, shorter menu for those who do not want to dine outside.

Over priced mediocre food. Had to send entree back twice - ordered it well done, medium raw both times. Signature drinks are over priced for quality

Loved this place! My wife and talked with the owner, the Native American flute player and the staff! Our evening was truely wonderful. The staff at the Fort have had the pleasure of creating history with each other, their bond and stories is warming to your soul! The food is spectacular!
