As a replica of Bent's Fort, it's a cultural crossroads on the historic Santa Fe Trail. This area institution, which has been reviewed in the New York Times, serves up southwestern fare to everyone from lounging locals to heads of state including President Clinton during 1997's economic summit. Scrumptious servings of buffalo and elk tantalize the tongue. More traditional fare like salmon, filet mignon and even a vegetarian plate is also available. Open Monday to Friday at 5:30pm and at 5:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

The strip steak and filet mignon were delicious. My grandson really enjoyed The Fort Game Plate, especially the quail. We had great service and were give cook books which was a nice bonus. We plan on coming back soon.

We’re from another state and this is the best local eatery in all of Colorado we’ve been too!! The service is Immaculate, from the owner to the bar!! The same emery signed our free gourmet cook books we were given!! I recommend this place highly!!

Amazing service and great food!
The service was wonderful, everyone was so attentive and friendly. The was incredible, both in presentation and taste. The atmosphere was fun and exciting. I understand that the chairs fit the motif, but they were very uncomfortable to sit on for the couple of hours that we enjoyed there.
