As a replica of Bent's Fort, it's a cultural crossroads on the historic Santa Fe Trail. This area institution, which has been reviewed in the New York Times, serves up southwestern fare to everyone from lounging locals to heads of state including President Clinton during 1997's economic summit. Scrumptious servings of buffalo and elk tantalize the tongue. More traditional fare like salmon, filet mignon and even a vegetarian plate is also available. Open Monday to Friday at 5:30pm and at 5:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

RecommendedExcellent food. Excellent service. Not very veggie/vegan friendly, but if you want to try meats such as elk, buffalo, bison, and other game beasts - it’s well worth it!

Took friends to The Fort restaurant in Morrison for the first time in Colorado they like the restaurant the different types of food and was amazed of their menu and their drinks. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was great they don't rush you and there's no dress code shorts jeans whatever you want to wear it's a steakhouse in fact I went with jeans and my cowboy hat being a visitor from Connecticut our waiter was great can't wait to go back!!
