As a replica of Bent's Fort, it's a cultural crossroads on the historic Santa Fe Trail. This area institution, which has been reviewed in the New York Times, serves up southwestern fare to everyone from lounging locals to heads of state including President Clinton during 1997's economic summit. Scrumptious servings of buffalo and elk tantalize the tongue. More traditional fare like salmon, filet mignon and even a vegetarian plate is also available. Open Monday to Friday at 5:30pm and at 5:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

What an amazing photo M.V. May we have your permission to use it for The Fort posts and publicity?💕💕
Absolutely delicious! My husband and i are incredibly picky and yet my husband said the buffalo steak was the best he had ever had. My lamb was to die for. Great place for a birthday dinner. A bit pricey but overall a great experience.
This place was disgusting, the service really sucked, and the waitress was completely disrespectful! for the price you pay, it's not worth it.

My father in law took all 11 of us to try it out. Staff were horrible. The food was awful. My nephew waited for a condiment for his meal, by the time it arrived which he had to go get himself, everyone had finished their meal. The horriable wait staff had the audacity to clear the table while he was still eating and we were waiting. Our table was a folding table butted up to what looked to be a 1902 card table. Granted they did put table cloth over it and tried to be pretentious and wannabe classy. All this for 1000.00. You ... read more

It is beautiful restaurant to celebrate a special event. Their early western food is exquisite. We had wild Alaskan Salmon and Buffalo ribs. We recommend the Hailstorms. Service is top notch. During December, Victorian Carolers serenade the diners while a Mountain Man visit other patrons. The inner courtyard has a warm bonfire while southwestern Christmas lights outline the outdoor buildings. A life size Indian teepee is on the perimeter of the property. "The Posadas" is a traditional Hispanic Christmas celebration that is o... read more
