As a replica of Bent's Fort, it's a cultural crossroads on the historic Santa Fe Trail. This area institution, which has been reviewed in the New York Times, serves up southwestern fare to everyone from lounging locals to heads of state including President Clinton during 1997's economic summit. Scrumptious servings of buffalo and elk tantalize the tongue. More traditional fare like salmon, filet mignon and even a vegetarian plate is also available. Open Monday to Friday at 5:30pm and at 5:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

Our waiter Eric was unbelievably attentive, knowledgeable and very friendly. He recommended the Bison Eggs ~ Pickled quail eggs wrapped in house-made buffalo sausage. Served with a raspberry-pepper jam. Our version of a Scottish Egg. So GOOD!!! The Bison Filet Mignon melted in your mouth. It was a very special experience for Valentine’s Day!
From our first greeting to our last sip of espresso our meal was delicious and our evening one to remember. Wonderful menu selections, nice atmosphere and friendly wait staff. Thanks Joe et. al.

A go-to place for us since it opened. Sam was a friend of my family, and set the wheels in motion for a memorable place. Great food drinks appetizers and history lesson.
The food was great our waiter John was very attentive. The views are amazing. Pricey but well worth it. We will definitely be back.
