Very warm greeting on check in. Lovely warm and comfortable room. Would happily revisit. Updating on previous visits..... Standards remain very high. Strongly recommended if holidaying in the area. Staying here again after a years absence. Standards especially Food and Housekeeping remain very high. Always a pleasure to Stay.
Popped in for dinner and appallingly rude. Told that as we weren't staying there they wouldn't serve us and advised we tried a kebab instead.
Eskdale Hotel is in the centre of Langholm, on the main through road & with nearby car parking. We called in on a Sunday early evening when travelling through the area. Pleased that the staff were welcoming & able to accommodate us for a meal despite our not having made a pre-booked reservation. The dining room & bar are quite small. But comfortable with ample space for several small groups of dinners, such as ourselves. The food was excellent.
