We had an excellent stay at the Empire Hotel. Beautiful accommodations from the lobby and mezzanine to the room we stayed in. Very friendly service from the front-desk to the concierge to the doormen. Our only complaint was the continental breakfast we ordered. It was supposed to come with pastries (plural) but we received a call saying they were out of pastries but could send "bagels and toast" which we agreed with. When we got our food it was only 1 bagel and no toast. So 2 people had to split one bagel. We could have call... read more
This hotel is great. I stayed in a double double room with my friend, and we both thought the beds were very comfy and the shower was amazing. The windows aren't very soundproof so we did get bothered by outside noise from time to time, but that's really the only negative. It's in a convenient location and the concierge, Uri, pointed us in the direction of some brilliant breakfast places. Also, if you stay here, I recommend ordering their black Angus burger from room service, it's delicious.
We stayed for 13 nights over Christmas and New Years. Before we left we'd already started planning our next trip back. We loved it!
Being an old building we had a bit of an issue with plumbing but the staff handled it amazingly and made sure we were comfortable for our long stay we will be back! The location is amazing!
Loved this hotel. It's right next to Central Park and was overall in a great location. The staff were all lovey and so helpful.
