Have just stayed here for 10 days. Lots of positives, lots of negatives. Positives were location, services provided, helpful staff and cleanliness. Negatives were size of bathroom, nearly impossible to stay in more than a couple of minutes. We had cold water for 24 hours, pool was not open to public, air con did not cope well with the heat and wifi worked intermittently. We were disappointed on arrival at the hotel (17/7) to be told that the pool was closed for an indefinite period. Needless to say that for our entire 10 night stay we were unable to use the pool. Not happy! � especially as it was quite hot in NY during our stay. The gym was also closed. We also had a problem with our room door the day of arrival which took quite a while to sort out. Was given a room with a view (a road!), plug sockets hanging off, air con unit broke and front metal part is hanging off, no shower door, bathroom door battered and doesn't lock the list of things wrong with this hotel is endless. Rooftop pool closed for maintenance, spa/gym (which consists of running machines) is closed. Was woken up early hours of the morning by maintenance men drilling walls in the corridors who then came back and continued drilling at 11:15pm! Decent hotel, but they don't keep their word. Had reservations for two nights in June. Hotel had a power/water issue that shut it down. Next morning we were told no time could be given on when power and water would be restored and had to find other lodgings. We were assured of a full refund of room charges. This hotel didn't honor their promise and refused to reimburse for the second night. There are plenty of nice places in NY to stay. I'd steer clear of this one.
Incredibly disappointed! Here are just a few issues: rooftop pool was closed, ac in room barely keeping room cool, waiting forever to get service at rooftop bar.
They charge €10 per device per day for wiFi in your room.. you have to go to the lobby to connect which I think is outrageous for the price you pay for the room. Rooms are nice but very small and the bathrooms are damp and there is a lot of water damage. Good location but I'm not sure if I'll be back.
