Excellent Sunday lunch. Friendly, with efficient young, capable staff. Very busy indeed. Reasonable prices with good food choices. Last previous visit 1978 and very happy to find the actual pub atmosphere and character unchanged!
I popped into The Crown Inn in Frampton Mansell on the off chance of a Sunday lunch, and I’m so glad I did. It was just me and my whippet, and we were given a lovely table by the fire — the perfect spot for a cosy meal. The staff were genuinely warm and welcoming, and the roast beef dinner was absolutely delicious (and generously served!). The whole place has that wonderful, relaxed country pub atmosphere that’s hard to find these days. Highly recommended — I’ll definitely be back!
Second time visiting as we find the hotel in a perfect position for those looking for a north-south short stop tour of the Cotswolds. For us it captures British pub experience with high quality but good value rooms! It was a no brainier for us when it came to friends visiting us! Especially lovely for couples.
Last visited this pub a couple of years ago and the service was fantastic. Literally couldn’t do enough for you. We went yesterday after a long wet walk, desperate to relax in front of a fire and was met by a grumpy manager (I assume this was her role) who clearly didn’t want us there nor did she want to accommodate us. The guys behind the bar were nice enough but clearly this wasn’t the same pub (management) I remember visiting in the past. Sad to say I doubt we’ll be back.
