Whilst the place looks quite tired, the food and service was fantastic
Would highly recommend the Exmoor Steak pie and the BBQ Pork ribs. If you are eating there. Good service from the team behind the bar.
We had a lovely stay at the crown as a large wedding party for our friends wedding in the village. All of the staff took such good care of us whilst we were there, as it's run by a family it felt like were staying in a family home. Really attentive and helpful.
We stayed 3 nights at the Crown. The room was great, with everything you could need. All the staff were so friendly, the food was amazing and very reasonably priced, it was so good we ate there all 3 nights.
I stayed here for a weekend and absolutely loved it. The hotel is in a beautiful village right in the heart of Exmoor National Park, perfect for scenic walks and hikes. The staff were all really friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was lovely, freshly made and a great start to the day. The food in the bar was also really good, and the atmosphere was relaxed and cosy. There’s even a playground just opposite, which is great if you're visiting with kids. Overall, a lovely stay and I’d definitely come back.
