Clean cozy retreat perfect nights sleep even though it was torrential rain and wind conditions Lovely friendly host who stood a talked to us even in extreme weather conditions Dog friendly which really helped us out Hope she remembers us we had a lovely chat about her friend from “ainuilt” Wish we could have stayed longer but will definitely revisit when we return
Absolutely loved our pod at Crofter's Snug. We had four nights, did lots of exploring, and didn't want to leave!
Jo and Karina were excellent hosts and we had a lovely 2 days in Pod 2. The pod itself was very clean and cosy and was a bit larger than some of the other pods we stayed in on the NC500. Great views out to the Orkney Islands and Dunnet Head. Very good value for money.
We pitched up with campervan and had a lovely welcome. A superb view and a beautifully kept little site. Would highly recommend!
We stayed only one night in the shepherd's hut accommodation before catching the Orkney ferry (the Gills Bay terminal is less than 10 minute's drive away). However, the hut had everything you might need for a longer stay. It was was very cosy with the wood stove lit, despite high winds. The location is fantastic, with views across to the islands and lots of seabirds to be seen.
