We traveled from Maine to Boston Children's Hospital emergently in september 2016 after our 9 week old was diagnosed with a very rare congenital heart defect at a routine well baby check. Up until that day we didn't know there was anything wrong with our daughter and in an instant our lives changed and we were faced with the very real risk of losing our child.
