I had a lovely stay at the Carlton Hotel with my dog, Teddy. As a solo traveller, I really appreciated how welcoming and comfortable it felt. The room was always clean and had everything I needed (kettle, iron, hairdryer and all the basics provided). Breakfast was delicious every morning, and Teddy especially loved his sausages they cooked for him ! Thank you for such a warm and enjoyable stay we’ll hopefully be back again in the future.
Only gave 4 stars for location as I'm not a huge fan of Ilfracombe. Better places in North Devon but mate loves here so visiting him. Hotels clean and tidy and staff are friendly and work very hard by looks of things. Rooms are impeccable and cleaned to a high standard. Breakfast is good and again staff are brilliant. Staff are definitely a massive asset to the place.
Came for a wedding and the bar wouldn’t make any cocktails. Not sure if they are not skilled enough to do so or can’t be bothered but very disappointing.
Stayed for 3 nights at this lovely Hotel. Our Room was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Bed very comfortable. Michael, Kelsey and Staff were very friendly and we were made to feel very welcome. Breakfast and dinner was wonderful. Would definitely recommend. Dave and I would definately come back.
Arranged a surprise 40th party and it was perfect and faultless. Food was amazing, staff attentive and a great venue. Rooms are clean and comfortable and very well put together (very comfortable bed) The hostess was especially a complete credit to the hotel. Couldn’t recommend more for a party, food or evening a beautiful night away. Thanks Eliot, Micheal and team
