Very nice gammon & mustard sandwich on white bread, with salad and chips. Nice relaxing atmosphere. Nice tables and chairs.
Just popped in for a couple of beers. The weather helped but all staff were pleasant and the beer was in top condition. All in all, an enjoyable experience. Special mention to the gardener chappie .
One of the BEST pub fish and chips you will have. The Sunday roast is absolutely mega too and if you are feeling hungry the pie of the day is an absolute belter. Jane, Tanya and the staff are always friendly and its a beautiful space with lovely open fires and a quieter space for those that need it at the top of the pub. Lovely garden in the summer too - would highly recommend.
My wife and I had a fabulous Sunday lunch here today, thanks to the delightful Jane, the owner and cook who has been here for over 30 years. Jane, Johnny and the other friendly staff could not have been more accommodating or helpful. Everything was home cooked and prepared to order. The traditional roast lamb served with a large selection of trimmings, the whitebait and haddock fish cakes were all of top quality and simply delicious.
