Very friendly staff. Great food. Spa area is all a bit faded really but we enjoyed it. Our room was OK. Very poor bathroom lighting (for shaving/make up purposes) Comfy bed. Clean.

We booked to stay here when we decided last minute to have a night away, staying close to Knaresborough for the following day to explore with the Dogs. The hotel was great. Dog Friendly. Lovely friendly staff. A fabulous evening meal and breakfast...and a super Spa. Overall a brilliant stay and would recommend 5*
Nice hotel, good facilities but needs modernisation. This hotel is situated very near to the A1(M) and just between Harrogate and York, with even Weatherby close by worth a visit. The hotel is a bit worn though and really needs modernisation. The rooms are good and the staff are variable in their level of help. Ideal for a couple of days with good food.
Lovely romantic break away. We got the bubbly spa package. We arrived an hour earlier than book in which was fine, the reception staff were helpful and friendly. We had the afternoon tea before check in. then onto the spa which was busy but adequate, a little tired in places but that didn't distract from the charm and calm atmosphere of the place. Robe and flip flops where included. They even gave me a token for the locker as I had no pound coin with me. Staff where very friendly. The room was a standard double with ensuite.... read more
