A very basic nothing special hotel and room. Clean for sure, but other than that not worth the price. Well-located but the town is so small any other hotel in the area will also be well-located. Dark room as well. I guess they are labeled as 4 star? Definitely not. What a rip off at 330 GBP/night.
Not cheap but nothing appears to be in Portree. Would stay again.
Location great! Hotel itself is definitely nothing special. Hallways very narrow, dark and dirty. Walls very thin. We faced the street directly over the bar so was very noisy. In the USA this would be equivalent to a 2 star, 3 star max. Breakfast in adjoining restaurant was very clean and very good. Great service at restaurant. Parking terrible- Has 7 spots total first come first serve. Otherwise have to park a few blocks away and hall your luggage through town and pay to park. Definitely not work the $500/night! My favourite hotel on Skye (but I have never stayed anywhere else because I keep coming back)! Nice rooms: good size, well appointed, larger than normal shower, excellent breakfast. Most importantly, the staff is kind and attentive.
