Stopped in for our complimentary half-pint of (very ordinary) lager and our certificates, and met up with two fellow Pennine Way trekkers. The proprietor couple were very friendly and accommodating; we much enjoyed chatting with Giacomo. Delicious lunch, including traditional Scottish cullen skink. Just popped in for a well earned guinness after the pennine way
Beautiful Tudor style hotel with lots of interesting history, rooms are huge and the food is incredibly good! Wonderful staff across the restaurant, bar and hotel who were always happy & helpful.
Very comfortable room with all amenities. Very friendly and helpful staff 👌 and located in a lovely country/picturesque village 🤩
Very friendly end to our Pennine Way walk. Free half a pint of beer very welcome and a Pennine Way certificate a nice touch. Enjoyed a good lunch before heading for home.
