I dine here quite a bit. Always a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and the food is great.
We used to love Sunday lunch here. We would even go so far saying it was the best in Worcester. Since it’s been taken over by new ownership, the food and service has gone down hill, massively. Went for Sunday lunch today and it was awful. Vegetables hard, meat over cooked and the Yorkshire pudding.. wow. Flat as a panic - disgusting. Asked for a new one, and came out exactly the same. Save your money.
Mixed feelings, definitely a good local pub and not a gastro pub, the food fitted the location. The boot burger was well above expectations and worth coming back for, a pub pizza is a pub pizza unless they have a pizza oven , good chips let down by poor quality dry chewy fish.
