The Bitter End

4.4

About this business

Founded in 1961, the Bitter End is New York's oldest rock club. There is no food served here, so you do not have to worry about the sounds of tinkling glasses and quaking crockery distracting the likes of Stevie Wonder, Neil Diamond and Bob Dylan. Over the years, a number of big name comedians have performed here as well, including Woody Allen, George Carlin and Joan Rivers. A brick wall forms the backdrop for all these acts, including many you may not have heard about.

Saw a great new young talent there last night, Brianna Musco. Solo Acoustic Guitarists/Singer/Songwriter. Nice mix of covers and original material. Watch for her !

The Bitter End remains a first class venue long after the likes of Joni Mitchell, Peter Paul and Mary and James Taylor graced its stage. The lighting, sound and general ambiance radiate the happening atmosphere that would thrill any band and its audience. If you’ve played the Bitter End, you’ve made it in New York.

I went to See the Paul Anthony Project last night at The Bitter End who rocked the rainy night on Bleecker St. Paul, Mick Oakleaf and Andrew Friedman were excellent. The history of the great club is felt as you enter this historic venue! Good food, good drinks and good music is everything you could ask for ... oh yes, and the Yanks winning game five of the playoffs... DonBlackCat🤓🎸

I saw LEWD BUDDHA there and they rocked the house. The service was excellent, and they don't hound you. Two drink minimum but prices are reasonable. The Bitter End is a great place to see music.
