Founded in 1961, the Bitter End is New York's oldest rock club. There is no food served here, so you do not have to worry about the sounds of tinkling glasses and quaking crockery distracting the likes of Stevie Wonder, Neil Diamond and Bob Dylan. Over the years, a number of big name comedians have performed here as well, including Woody Allen, George Carlin and Joan Rivers. A brick wall forms the backdrop for all these acts, including many you may not have heard about.

Great place to have drinks and listen to music. Was here Tuesday night and was blown away by a talented singer-songwriter named Gabrielle. Outstanding!
One of my favs ... this and The Cutting Room ... Always visit when in NY ..
Great club and a part of music history in New York City. The oldest rock venue in the city. I love to see my favorite bands at The Bitter End. Easy to get to from New Jersey by car or mass transit.
So inspired by the raw talent of Jordan Siwek and his band! Realizing that songs don’t grow on trees. It’s work and thought that makes one happen. And we witnessed a whole night of Siwek songs at The Bitter End!
The service was terrific and the music was a blast! I really like how the tables are situated. Not a bad seat in the room.
The Bitter End is one of my favorite places to perform. It has a great vibe and such history. The energy is always amazing and I love being there! The bartenders are always awesome and the prices are great! recommend! I always get the best treatment!
WE love the Bitter End because it is my home away from home for 30 years... from when I was a baby artists to Director of the New York Songwriters Circle, held the first Monday every month. The Late Ken Gorka was the brain child, and the gift to me that has always kept giving.... it is full of memories of great music, great transformations and the magic that comes through great songwriting. long live the Bitter End.!! My son played there last night in Switch Mob and his band Wishbone. It was awesome. Everyone there is great and they are so helpful getting the bands on setting up and making sure the sound is right. They were welcomed back by the manager and in sure it will be an awsome experience. It’s a vibe that makes you just want to play your best! Loved it.
