The Bitter End

4.4

About this business

Founded in 1961, the Bitter End is New York's oldest rock club. There is no food served here, so you do not have to worry about the sounds of tinkling glasses and quaking crockery distracting the likes of Stevie Wonder, Neil Diamond and Bob Dylan. Over the years, a number of big name comedians have performed here as well, including Woody Allen, George Carlin and Joan Rivers. A brick wall forms the backdrop for all these acts, including many you may not have heard about.

It has been many years. I moved out of NYC in 1973. I had been to the Bitter End to see a friend of a friend. That was Kenny Rankin. I loved the place. Probably the only place I wish I could go back to.

I've always loved the Bitter End . Going 40years back . The owners devotion. To Music and the musicians make it a great venue more tha. Nothing. Whether it was Pat KENNY, Colby, or KENNY GORKA. They treat the musicians with respect and divinity and allow them to keep the money they bring through the door . The equipment is good and so is the sound . It all starts at the top amd the owners and those who manage the Bitter End are just real good people .
