We had the most incredible experience at The Bear for our wedding in July 2025. From the very beginning, the team were amazing — so organised, supportive, and full of helpful suggestions on everything from the seating plan to the decorations. They really helped us feel at ease throughout the whole process. On the day itself, we had 110 guests for the day and 160 in the evening, and everything ran seamlessly. On August 15th, I booked the Bear Inn restaurant for my son’s 21st birthday. However, I was very disappointed with the service. We requested that the staff keep the cake in a cool place, yet they didn’t seem to understand and allowed it to melt. They showed no interest in making the event special for the family and even had to chase for the cake to come out to the table.
