Room was fine for 2 working electricians sharing.with clean bedding and fresh towels along with a kettle and cups, and complimentary soap and shower and hair wash. For the price of the rooms you cannot go wrong. Yes it’s not the ritz but its not £1200 a night either The true gem of this venue is the staff, the welcoming locals and the brilliantly priced food served by Liz in the kitchen. When we first arrived at the avenue and lodge they said they weren't serving food on Friday and Saturday it says nothing at all on the website about not serving food . Then when we got the key for room 4 it was disgusting and terrible the door handle was holding on by a screw , there was stains on the carpet , the shower cubicle had black mould inside which made me not want to wash the shower head wouldn't stop dripping , there was mould on the bathroom ceiling , holes in the bathroom walls and mould on one of the blinds and... read more
