An excellent addition to New York's continually evolving night scene, Ainsworth is an upscale restaurant and sports bar which has quickly become the talk of town. The decadence and chicness of this bar isn't undermined by the after-work crowd which packs a mix of sophisticates, beer heads and sports nuts. Sprawled across 6,000 square feet, and boasting of 40-television screens, Ainsworth's rustic decor is superbly complemented by the aged pine walls, chocolate leather seats, chandeliers and amber lights. The menu has a limite... read more

Worst service ever – This place sucks will never go back. Came here for Brunch on Saturday around noon. World cup game had just ended and there was no one there. Place was completely empty and it still took an hour to make a sandwich and pancakes. They had to change my order because they "ran out" of fish, but staff did not realize this until half an hour after I ordered. Although the menu says pancakes, they only gave us one pancake. Waitress had an attitude. When we asked if the order was wrong. Waitress said she was new a... read more
Awful Sports Bar – The service sucks and it's always super crowded. They even waste some of their televisions by putting pictures of a burning fireplace, so lame. Oh and let's not forget the overly loud music that they play over the games. The food is bad, and everything is overpriced.
Reservations mean nothing here – This place supposedly lets you make reservations. Sadly that reservation means nothing. We reserved a table from noon to 4 pm. at 2:30, in the middle of the 3rd quarter of a close game, we were unapologetically told that we had to get up from the table because the next reservation was coming in. We brought up the fact that we had the table until 4 and they gave us the check. Way to ruin a bar with horrible service. Do not go here.
Don’t go here – If I could give it -5 stars I would. Called on Saturday to see if they take reservations on Sunday to watch the NFL games. Guy who answers the phone tells me that they do not accept reservations but if I come before 12pm I will be ok to get a table. Arrive at 11:50am on Sunday with guests from out of town in tow to watch the kickoff of the NFL season and I am told sorry, all tables are reserved but if I would like to sit at the bar stools along the wall I could do that. Wondering how 6 of us were going to wat... read more
Not a real sports bar – I thought Ainsworth was a sports bar. I went here to watch the NBA playoffs. Most of the TVs in the bar were turned off. When we asked if they could turn on one of the TVs so that we could watch the basketball game, they indicated that they couldn’t without giving an explaination. The hostess did not show any interest in trying to accommodate us. She simply told us that we could sit at the small bar by the wall, where we would be extremely cramped and our backs would be turned to the TVs. This seemed ... read more
Nothing good to say about this place – It’s pretty much horrible in every way. Horrible food, horrible staff, and overpriced watered down drinks. Pretty much everything a good bar should NOT be.
Terrible Experience – My girlfriend and I went to the Ainsworth after hearing what a great place it was to watch sports. We also heard the food was good. However, we didn't get to sample the food or watch sports because of the ridiculous seating arrangement, baffling television viewing policy, and the inflexible behavior of the staff. When we arrived, we were not greeted warmly by the staff, who acted as if we were intruding on an exclusive event as opposed to being potential patrons of the restaurant. We noticed that the pl... read more
Disappointing Food – Ordered take-out from Ainsworth last night and was really disappointed. I started with the baked mac and cheese, which was incredibly bland and topped with stale, overly-spiced (I think it was thyme?) breadcrumbs. I don't think it was baked with the breadcrumbs so much as the stale pieces were sprinkled on top after it was done. Second dish was the brisket and red pepper cole-slaw sandwich. I actually liked the sandwich, which had a very pulled pork, BBQ-y taste to it. The fries it came with were as lous... read more
Booking Disaster – What an awful place. They doubled booked us for a reservation for 50 people. Apparently it was because their computers were down, but I don't really understand what level of stupidity and incompetency can cause them to misplace a reservation for 50 people? The staff were also very rude and clicky. Definitely not going back there.
