Got the boat from Westminster pier, actually boarded the earlier one than booked, so think you can pretty much go whenever. Really enjoyed the trip, a staff member gave a running commentary which is apparently voluntary, was very good and interesting. I think signage at Greenwich could be improved regarding the trip back, impossible to work out where you should queue for your particular boat, we were in the wrong queue for a while and had to go to the kiosk to ask where the boat would leave from. Wonderful boat trip!
Nicely organised cruise along the Thames with fantastic views of the city. The "untrained" tour guide did a great job of mixing facts with typical British humour. Best of all, he was in his twenties rather than his fifties, which made the trip more lively. I can highly recommend booking a trip to Greenwich this way, as it is much more fun than taking the underground.
