I recommend TRTA because they provide leadership and focus for our benefit that is hard for individuals to achieve on their own.

They spend much time to understand the issues and they are our strongest voice with legislatures!! We need them to fight for us. Texas teachers do not have a tradition of speaking up or speaking loudly. We need their leadership and insight as to when we need to stand up for ourselves.

I recommend TRTA because they truly have our backs. They strive to keep us informed of what is happening in the legislature and they go out of their way to educate us on policy that effects our everyday lives.

I have been a proud member of TRTA and also the Dallas Chapter. I appreciate the organization’s professionalism and utilization of many media forms to keep members informed. Thank you to our Executive Director Tim Lee who always has our backs and keeps a close network of Tx legislators, Congressional members, school districts and other organizations to share our needs. As members, we ALL must come together as ONE voice to ensure our voices are heard in Austin and Washington D.C.

TRTA does represent us at the Capitol. However, they are gouging us on the vision and dental insurance. I just got the exact coverage from my employer, with fewer than 100 employees, at just over $30/month, saving me almost $100/month over TRTA. How can TRTA do this to members who have been struggling to get by with no raise for so long? Shame on you!
