We travel 10 hours every 4 months so our daughter can see the best oncologist Dr Heczey and the best doctors! She spent 6 months in and out patient getting chemo and had surgery to remover her tumor by the best of the best Dr. Nuchtern!!! The radiology department needs another CT machine. Hopefully that will improve with the new 19 floor expansion they are building. Getting in IV in our daughter is always hard. Calling the vascular team to help with that is a must. Greatest organization I have ever worked for. I Love being a part of it!
My daughter is undergoing treatment at the hospital for a few health issues and followed by 6 Dr's there and I'm sad to say that we just found out that in 2017 y'all will not be accepting and insurance policies on the marketplace!!! How are families that are going through a tough financial time with the economy like this suppose to continue getting the care we need for our children??? I cant thank texas childrens enough they are truely amazing my son has been here for 4 months on the 7th and its been a long scary journey we remain here in the CVICU till his bext surgery date which is 2 months from now but overall our time here has been remarkably life changing Thank you TCH, your awesome
Growing up we were always told, if your babies are sick, you take them to Texas Childrens. Well Texas Childrens not after last night! I took my 16 month old baby to TX Childrens urgent care based on a call from a TX Childrens after hours nurse. At urgent care they immediately wanted to send him to the downtown hospital, even considering by ambulance. We elected to drive and urgent care said they would call downtown to let them know. This is an excellent hospital!!! I really appreciate the doctors and staff... they are very helpful and extremely knowledgeable. I recommend this Hospital to anybody who has children!!!
Excellent hospital!! Everyone is so kind and caring!! They are exceptional with children!! We came from Arkansas for my son's surgery and testing before he has it!! They have made sure he was comfortable the entire time!!
