So sorry for what some of you have had to go through. I have had more than my share of trouble with hospitals but this was not one of them. I can’t say enough good things about the hospitality at TCH. I got to the elevators today and there were tons of people waiting to get on....the majority were staff and they all backed up and said “patients first” and let my son and I get on the first one open. I walked into the cafeteria with my hands full carrying a diaper bag, a lunch tray and pushing a stroller....a staff member on her lunch break jumped up from her table to come help me carry my things. It good hospital and good services
Texas childrens is supposed to be a hospital that takes care of children.WRONG!!
Emma Rose was featured by ABC 13 news as needing to transfer from Mexico to Texas Children’s Hospital. 11 days on and Emma Rose is still in hospital. TCH are slowly working to diagnose Emma Rose conditions but still we wait for her release. TCH lack of housekeeping, questionable hygiene practices continue to raise concerns, patients advocate has visited almost as many times as the doctors and TCH continue to hide behind bureaucratic rules and would sooner inflict unnecessary pain to the infant. A baby, barely 1 years old, is sent home and denied re-admittance with a 104 degree fever!!! It appears this is not the first time this has happened either. This is how you treat black children? Many of these most recent reviews are 1-2 stars. Very telling of the type of service that is provided here.
