I saw Dr. Makkena in office as follow up for a hospital stay. I was pleased with the warmth and helpfulness of front and back office staff as well as Dr. Makkena's knowledge and willingness to spend time discussing my condition. It was a pleasant change from the usual 3 minutes in and out of the exam room one sees with doctors so often these days.
Very good bedside manner. Explains things in a way you can understand. Never makes you feel that you are taking up his valuable time.
The experience from the moment you walk into the office to the time you see Dr. Makkena and then leave is all EXCELLENT! Staff is very friendly and Dr. Makkena answers every question you have (in my case I sometimes ask the same question and he is great about answering it again). I highly recommend him! My heart ?? is still going strong thanks to him. ??
He is very attenative and listens to your concerns and recommends the test that he thinks you need.
Dr Makkena in my opinion is by far one of the top cardiologist in North Texas. I’ve seen several cardiologist in the past to compare to and he as well as his office staff are superior. He’s patient and spends a lot of time with me at each of my visits. I would highly recommend Dr Makkena to anyone with heart needs.
Dr. M is great to talk to. Serious when he should be and down to earth about my health. Tells me what I need to hear and isn’t afraid to be direct. I am so glad I am in his care!
