A very caring and knowledgeable doctor. Takes his time with you and answers all your questions. I've only been under his care for 2 years but I feel vey comfortable having him treat me. His staff is very courteous and works very hard to get you the appointment time you need. He doesn't rush his patients so occasionally he is behind schedule, which just proves that the patient's health comes first.
Dr. Makkena treated my mother in the hospital before she passed away and I was so impressed that I requested him when I needed a cardiologist. I like that he is very honest yet very compassionate and caring in his delivery. I feel very fortunate to have him as my doctor.
What I love about Dr. Babu Makkena is that he looked at me, and listened to me while I spoke about what I had done since our last visit, and was even interested in my alternative remedies for better digestion. He made me feel like he was there for me. Thank you, Dr. Makenna.
Dr. Makkena has one of the best 'bedside manners' I have ever seen in a physician. He is able to share humor with you in what may be a dark time in your life. With me, it was an arrhythmia that developed after cardio/vascular surgery. I would recommend Dr. Makkena to anyone with a cardiology problem.
Dr. Makkena has been very helpful, accommodating, knowledgeable and is obviously both very well educated and experienced as a physician, particularly in the cardio/vascular field. I intend to continue as his patient and will definitely be recommending him to my friends and family.
You couldn't ask for better care than what Dr. Makkena's office offer. From the time we walked into his office, his staff was very friendly and helpful. Dr. Makkena, as well as all of his staff, are very courteous, professional, and make you feel right at home.
My husband and I are both very happy with Dr Makkena and his staff. Everyone is so warm and understanding. We are so glad we found Dr Makkena!!

Dr Makkena is very nice and courteous doctor that takes time to explain your circumstances and what should be done. He tries to make sure that you know the importantce of the percedure and to schedule it in a timely manner. I am very pleased to have chosen Dr Makkena and would recommend him to anyone that needs a cardiologist.
