God used him to save my life when I had tachycardia, he gave my life hope and a meaning from that faithful day I had that incident but he was calm and explained to me why I should stay behind in the hospital with humility, calm voice and love. He is awesome, always explains the reason why he wants to give any prescription. Keep doing the good work, you are called for this job.

Not much for words, Bedside manner is what counts most of all, Dr. Makkena just makes on feel comfortable and at ease. PS, Good news also helps.
I have been with Dr Makkena for years. He’s by far one of the most kind and compassionate doctor I’ve met. He takes his time to review and discuss my medical treatment with me. His office staff and nurses are top notch. They manage my care very well. Dr Makkena and staff are amazing.
My 92 year old mom, husband, and I all go to Dr. Makkena. He is incredibly responsible, competent, and has a great bedside manner. Dr. Makkena's conscientiousness exceeds that of any other doctor any of us have seen. Moreover, his office is exceedingly well run. Office staff members are professional, friendly, and relaxed. I cannot recommend this practice highly enough.

Dr Makkena is phenomenal! He is attentive, listens to any needs, concerns, or questions I may have. The appointment is always pleasant as is his staff.
