Downtown dining The Tavern is located at the former Post Office on the Green in downtown. It is casual and friendly, and is a great spot to go after work for drinks and pub grub. The restaurant menu is traditional, pricing is fair, and portions are good. The paper napkins and place mats cheapen it somewhat, and the acoustics are very loud as well.
A great dining experience The Tavern is one of our favorite places to eat. The food is good and reasonable, the portions are just right, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is comfortable. We especially like Thursday's prime rib special. We've only have one below average experience out of many. My only wish is that they'd open at 11:00 as sometimes I get an early lunch.
great restaurant and bar They have a great menu. Wide variety of choices. I have never had a bad meal here. The bar is very scenic. Two story ceilings. This is a great place to get together with friends.
Tavern I had only eaten here once and I was not happy. I got a fish dinner and I found it to be overcooked and not very good. The atmosphere was loud and chaotic. Service was so so. Pricing was just OK to me. A bad experience hasn't pulled me back in. The beer tasted good though!
Tavern This is a good place to get some drinks with friends after work. The food is very tasty and reasonably priced. Its located in the center of Westfield for easy access.
Tavern on the Green Great food, but quarters are a little tight and noise level is a little high It was a little hard to have a conversation without having to yell across the table. The atmosphere itself is great.
Night Out? We had an early dinner on a Sunday afternoon. The place was not very busy, so I had assumed that we would have been waited on promptly. Boy was I wrong. The waitress took 3 trips to finally get our order correct. When the food came, it was good. But after waiting nearly 50 minutes for a steak, I wasn't really happy anymore. The food was good, the service was poor. The price of the meal was reasonable. Not a bad place if your not not hungry going in.
Nice night out Went to watch a play off game for the Red Sox. The service was very good. The appetizers we not so great but the dinners were very good. Would definately recommend the Tavern to others for a night out, my expectaions were exceeded.
Good food, good atmosphere at a reasonable price We've had a good meal each time we've gone to the Tavern. It's great for a night out for two or with the whole family. If you like artichokes, try the appetizer. It's wonderful!
