The farm is a lovely place for families, with friendly animals and clear signs of care such as enrichment for pigs and goats, plus wonderful bird shows that prioritise animal choice. However, it is not set up for very hot days. Many animals, especially woollier sheep & cold-climate birds, were clearly overheating—breathing heavily, shaky, lethargic, and with little escape from the heat. Went the other day me and my partner had a really lovely time. If you’re going here just strictly for the animals perhaps I wouldn’t recommend it but if you have children this place would be like heaven for them, we didn’t try the restaurant but the menu looked nice and not too pricey. They had a nice ice cream parlour area with lots of options too which we enjoyed.
We went to Rock the Farm for the first time this year and absolutely loved it! We took our two children (11 & 1) and they both had a fantastic time. The food was delicious, and the cider slushies were dangerously more-ish! The atmosphere was amazing, full of great vibe, and there was so much for the kids to enjoy. Always a friendly family day out! Love it here
This is one of our favorite places to come with the kids, and rock on the farm is fantastic! They only reason why I wouldn't put 5/5 is the ice cream always tastes chemical and is extremely soft, so always makes a right mess! Also, we purchased a chilli peanut butter in the shop, although reduced by almost 50% I wasn't aware it was almost 4 months out of date, until it didn't taste right. In addition to this, I had to wait whilst staff had a conversation to pay - which unfortunately has happened on a few visits.
