I did not receive an order and prior to the payment request I CANCELED my subscription. The website wouldn't let me so I talked to a support person who claims they canceled it! Clearly they didn't cancel my subscriptions upon request. With their website cancelation part down they are trying to just make it not possible to end it. They are threatening to send a payment for an order I didn't receive to collections because they won't cancel the subscription.

I went online on 4/16/22 to order Proactive because I used it in the past and had success. I couldn't get the order to go through because it gave me an error and said it couldn't process. I decided not to pursue it any further and let it go. When I check my bank account on 4/18 I had been charged FOUR payments of $31.75 for a product that the Proactiv website wouldn't let me order. NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO CANCEL SUBSCRIPTION- Company claims system glitches and sends bills for product cancelled. I have tried to cancel our ProActive monthly subscription for a year. In June of 2021, their customer service blamed it on an update of their system: "Due to our system upgrades, we cannot cancel subscriptions at this time." I called a month later and was told the same thing. I purchased their 90 day 3-step products which automatically subscribed me for ongoing subscription. Over 30 days of using the products, my acne has worsened. I called the company more than five times but it always gets disconnected. I have emailed the company to cancel my subscription, but have not heard from anyone. Their customer service is unreachable and this company does not let me cancel my subscription or refund the money as promised if the symptom does not improve.

I have had the exact same experience as the previous reviews. I started noticing issues with my account back in September 2021. Thankfully at that time, I contacted my credit card company and put a block on my account so they were not able to charge me. I have been a member for well over 10 years. I have no issues with how the products work. All of my issues are with billing and receiving my products. I tried to reach customer service on the phone and was placed on long holds. Our daughter used the products for 2-3 years until they no longer worked and we found a better skin care product for acne and her skin responded beautifully. I called Proactiv's customer service line and it wasn't available due to relocating. I called about two weeks later and spoke with a representative who assured me the membership would be cancelled yet because another shipment was enroute, I "had to pay for it." I just got off the phone with Proactiv due to a bill I got stating I owed more money even though I asked to be canceled several months ago. I can't tie the last charge to any product I received, but paid it anyway to get past this nightmare. I was assured by the customer service rep that I am totally closed out and paid up with Proactiv. But lack any confidence in what they tell me now. Does anyone know what government agency or regulator oversees this type of business so I can complain if I continue to have issues?

I do not like leaving reviews. In this case, it is important that I do. I placed a similar review on the page one day and the next it was taken down. My hope is to help others in the process. My experience is the company does charge your credit card without your permission. Yes, the product is okay. However, the billing practices are NOT. Despite numerous calls and emails to cancel my account. They continue to charge my account WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. Do yourself a favor if you order...use cash. I am so done and tired. Horrible customer service. You can't cancel with them without a giant headache. Cancelled in November and have proof, and continue to receive shipments and be charged. I have sat on hold, I have done the chats, I have sent emials, only once did a get a prompt response and thats when i left a negative social media review. Still nothing is resolved, they sent me a credit for 27.00 dollars, when I was incorecctly charged for 75 after I have already cancelled. Not worth this headache. Do not do business with them.
