It should be called TRASHeria Del Sol – I have a feeling that many/most of the positive reviews here are written by employees. This place is wretched. Rude service. Low-rent atmosphere. Why anyone would want to eat here is a mystery to me. There's something to be said for doing things differently in the restaurant industry and even making your own rules, but to throw common decency and politeness out the window is inexcusable. Truly horrible. Oh, and the food is really average to below average - I just don't see what the big... read more
Your reviews make me sad – I'm so sad to read all of these negative reviews. I've never been to the Howell Mill location, but think all of you need to head over to the Decatur location. The service is excellent, and I love to go there. My only issue is that there isn't a location closer to me (just barely ITP).
I am so happy to see I am not alone. – I will NEVER step foot in this place again. When are we going to realize that cheap tacos are not worth this kind of aggrivation? The staff in this place are incredibly rude only to be outdone by their management. After placing a to-go order for a large party I sat down at the bar to wait for my order. I was promptly asked to "abandon" my seat and wait outside for my food.
Attitude not worth it – If I'm eating $2 tacos, my kids should be welcome--especially in Decatur, where children are very active and involved members of the community. A friend was actually told by staff, when asking about high chairs, that "we don't have high chairs and we don't cater to children." My own children were reprimanded as we awaited and dinner. And don't let anyone in your party sit down while you're ordering! You'll get a major slap on the hand for that. I get a babysitter for fancy meals, but not for restauran... read more
Bad food, rude service – Atlanta is a faddish town and this place is a fad. Terrible food and service that would apppeal only to Atlantans.
KID UN-FRIENDLY – Great food but this place is THE MOST kid unfriendly place we have ever visited. Our kids stayed at the table all night but when we asked if boosters were available, the OWNER replied "Oh, no, no , no, not here, ever". That coupled with snide remarks we overheard from waiters about kids at the restaurant will keep us away. It's good but not worth the treatment you get if you have kids with you.
Rude, Inconsiderate, Just not worth it........... – This place is just not worth it... if you care about who you give your monies to and how they treat you. I must say the menu, the food, has got to be the only reason why they still have a business. Yet after awhile you began to realize how much for granted they take the public. Such a shame because again I like the food, but I don't like be treated as a worthless customer...... Service is that bad it takes away from the food............ We should really boycott this place b... read more
Atlanta's immensely popular taqueria cuts a futuristic figure in downtown Decatur. – The Scene The boutique tacos known by name across Atlanta now inhabit an abandoned Decatur service station. This location has the same urban look as the original: stainless steel tabletops, exposed ductwork and gleaming garage doors. Wooden bowls of oranges, beachy-looking azure cinder block and jewel-tone tequilas add a California feel. Sit in the narrow, space-age breezeway for more airy, semi-outdoor dining. You can expect more families--... read more
Can't beat the taco variety and the price!! – This place is amazing! Probably some of the best tacos I've ever had, not to mention the great variety. Going from fried Tilapia, to pulled pork, to the more traditional carnita, they are all fantastic. The line is usually a bit long, but nothing a good margarita won't fix. Usually nice to enjoy one in line, and then one with dinner. Plus, once you order and sit down, you food will be in front of you in a matter of minutes. The West Side Margarita is definitely worth the extra ca... read more
