My wife booked us both on The Slate Trail for a surprise birthday outing. We are both Vegan and found that the food in the caffe caters very well for vegans. The tour was fantastic with regular stops at different stations. The guides in the tour were brilliant and interacted with everyone giving us all little bits of information. We had two dogs with us and one is not able to walk far. They accommodated for this very well. Excellent service from the staff
Brilliant day out for the whole family. We visited as a family of 7 plus 2 dogs and had a marvellous time. The staff are wonderful; really friendly and helpful. We started our journey at Tywyn and travelled the entire length of the line then stopped at various places on the way back (Dolgoch is particularly nice as there is a spectacular waterfall a few minutes walk from the station). Wonderful experience with fantastic views as you travel up the line. Very friendly staff and a must see is the museum at the station, extremely interesting and comprehensive with lots of interest for all ages. Well worth a visit.
Visited on a very wet and windy day which meant sitting inside. On return journey the windows kept steaming up sadly. Friendly staff and volunteers. Weather meant unable to do the walks we wanted. Cafe good. Museum and shop excellent.
