2016 FLTRU Road Glide Ultra. It's a nine year old bike I bought six months ago with 13,400 miles on it. The stock rear air shocks were terrible. With the recommended air pressure for the load they bottomed hard enough to crunch my back and knock the wind out of me. Adding pressure helped but they had no rebound damping and shot me out of the seat over dips and expansion joints. Easy ordering with personal service. Shipping was fast, especially for a custom made part. Detailed instructions. All quality hardware was included. Definitely worth the investment.
It seems like I am in the minority, but these shocks aren't any better than anything else I've tried and only incrementally better than the stock shocks. I've gotten a couple of hundred miles on these shocks and tried some adjustments, with no real increases in performance. The same harsh bumps that were a problem with the stock shocks, are not much better with these. I've tried most of the other shocks out there but I've never really been happy. Until I gave the Super Shox a try. I went with the Premium Series & I couldn't be happier. I could tell as soon as I sat on the bike that these were the right ones for me. I put 100 miles on the bike as soon as they were installed & my body, the ride, & the handling of the bike have dramatically improved. After researching shocks , I decided to go with the Super Shox Platinum series. Choosing the reservoir to mount by the passenger footboard, cannot to you how user friendly and being able to adjust on the spot depending on road conditions is a game changer! Smooth!!!!! I have a 2018 street glide, and the difference is like night and day in improved ride. I ordered directly from Super Shocks and it takes a few weeks to get them, but it’s worth the wait! It took about 30 minutes to remove and install the shocks. From the start with the bumps leaving my workshop and onto the driveway and asphalt was a bumpy start, but not now it was so smooth I thought something was wrong. hey Brian, All i can say.....is WOW!!! my 2010 street glide w/ 13k on it now feels like a new bike for sure!!! It doesnt feel like a shopping cart No-more!! We just got back from a trip to Lake George NY from Mass. an did 600 miles and what a comfortable ride it was.... Happy Wife~Happy Life Riding!!
