94 year old taken to emergency room on December 23. Had a body bag with $2000 stolen by a hospital employee. When reported, security said "it happens all the time, doctors and nurses steal from patients every day". How is this acceptable? The fact is, this man had the bag with money in it when he was transported by ambulance to the ER. Somewhere along the line, by the next morning, the money was gone! FYI DONT GO TO Summerlin Hospital Medical Center went to summerlin hospital last night with bad stomach pain. So bad I had to pull over and sit in my car for awhile until I was okay to drive to the hospital. While the nurses were sweet and caring the doctors acted like I was making the whole thing up and rushed me out the door telling me nothing was wrong with me and sent me home. The pediatric care at this hospital is HORRIBLE!! My son has not gotten the level of care he deserves, especially as an ONCOLOGY patient. I asked my son’s oncologist to not put us at this hospital as the ER nurses have NO IDEA how to handle a pediatric port line. From not cleaning the site long enough or even PROPERLY, to roughly handling the port itself, causing my son pain when he is numbed. It’s unacceptable. Wow! I don’t give credit and set expectations too high... But this hospital! I love this hospital for outpatient pre-op processes! They are so helpful, so efficient, all staff are all smiles, there is an amazing coffee shop here and even the cafeteria folks have asked me twice if I have been helped.
I walked into the ER in july at 4am while 6 months pregnant due to excruciating stomach pains which I thought might be contractions. when i hobbled over to the front desk in tears, the guy working said because I was pregnant, I would need to be treated in their labor and delivery ward and pointed me to the elevator. did not even offer a wheelchair. so i hobbled over and was treated for about 12 hours. a month later I receive a bill for about $20,000 because my insurance states the claim was not filed as being a medical emerg... read more

My father was there for over 2 weeks. The nurses were very helpful. He has 5 girls all not living in the area so they were taking calls from all of us. They never got upset with us or angry that we were all calling. Thank you for being so patient with all of us.
