In around 2004, I fell off a roof and shattered my right head into about 50 pieces. Dr. Sumida rebuilt my heal with what looks like a bicycle chain with a dozen screws and bone grafts. No weight for about 4 months. He even invented a specialty surgical tool, for my specific surgery needs, that was written up in a medical journal. When I first went to Dr. Sumida, I had a light pain under my right shoulder blade. Because of insurance reasons, I had to do PT for 6 weeks before I could get a MRI. The PT actually took care of the pain so I thought nothing about doing the MRI or seeing Sumida again. Thankfully, his office called me to follow up with getting an MRI because I was ghosting the whole process of following up with him because I felt so good after going to PT. Would absolutely recommend Dr. Sumida to anyone! He truly cared about healing my wife from her pain when other doctors were quick to dismiss her. His office is clean and new, and staff was friendly as well.
Dr. Sumida repaired my rotator cuff in June 2018 and I couldn't have asked for better results. Surgery went very well and my recovery went very well - even though I had to work at PT 3 times/week! He will definitely be the Dr I see for any additional orthopedic surgeries I may need in the future. His staff is very professional, but compassionate.
Dr. Sumida is awesome! I would recommend him and his group to anyone! Couldn’t have asked for better personal attention than what I received from him and his team!!! Thanks you all for making my shoulder surgery experience a very comfortable and smooth one!!!

Dr. Sumida is the best. He is personable, knowledgeable, and pays attention to the details. He did an extensive rotator cuff repair for me. I am very happy with his skills. I would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone.
