Amazing cottages - spotlessly clean, tidy and beautiful. The most well appointed kitchen I've seen in a holiday cottage - there were even scales and baking trays, so we were able to do some baking! The location is great for Fionnphort, Iona, Bunessan and Uisken, with convenient parking and a table in the garden for sunny days. The first thing you notice is how warm and welcoming the cottage is. Well equipped and well laid out, you couldn't ask for anything better. Far from the madding crowd but close to village shops you can easily stock up on supplies. Boat trips to iona and Staffa are not far away and if the boats are not running because of the weather you just have to wait a while as the weather changes all the time. Nice simple modern house as described. Very helpful landlady who helped us when our car didn’t work. Located on the “main” road but outside the village. Friendly area, interesting enough (but not like London). All electrically powered. Not much view.
This is our second visit, and I'm sure we will be back. The cottage is spacious and well equipped, and the views are spectacular. It is well situated for trips to Iona, and we also discovered Uisken beach on this trip which is very near and well worth a visit. If you like somewhere peaceful and quiet, with lovely views, then you won't be disappointed.
