Avoid the Eye store. Really disappointed as I love the Sue Ryder stores in Peterborough. Paid for a sofa in the Eye store and then paid an extra £40 for delivery. Stayed home all day on the day of delivery and was told the latest time it would be delivered was 5:30. Great location and parking right outside. But the shop has been ruined by over pricing their items. I used to come every week but won’t be going back now. The last few trips I’ve come out empty handed, despite seeing lots of bits i liked. I found a different local charity shop today, a few minutes drive from this one and things were so much cheaper. Such a shame as they are often turning donations away because they are full - so why not price things to actually sell quicker and then have a higher turn around? I understand ov... read more
Very confusing why the staff are so ungrateful for any donations. I brought in a few bags of clothes and went away feeling like a nuisance. The same thing happened a few years ago. You would think that if they are being given items for free they would be pleased but no! Not very pleasant people.
The manager misses the Point of Charity I attempted to purchase a TV mount from the Sue Ryder shop in Eye that had been donated after failing to sell on Facebook Marketplace. I missed the original seller by 24 hours, so I phoned the shop directly to buy it and offered to arrange a courier collection to make it completely hassle-free for them.
