Fantastic food. Generous portions
The Strathearn Hotel delivers one of the best guest experiences we’ve had in Scotland. We arrived without a booking and were immediately welcomed by a young lady from the dining room who went out of her way to check availability and secure a room for us. When we asked about dinner, she arranged a last-minute table at High Tea. The menu offered plenty of choice, including excellent gluten-free options for my wife. Foodie waste brilliant.
If you’re looking for a place where the view is the only thing worth paying for, congratulations, you’ve found it. Service was shocking, food was worse — apparently “rare” steak means cooked until it bounces like rubber, twice. The excuse? The grill wasn’t working. Brilliant, maybe next time tell people before they order. And the cherry on top? They forgot a birthday cake that was handed in earlier. Imagine ruining someone’s birthday because you can’t even manage a cake.
