Fantastic service, Steaks that you could cut with a butter knife. – My brother and I had the Cowboy Cut Bone-In Ribeye, and my wife and mother had the Center Cut Siroin. Everything was done to perfection. I hope you save room for desert. There may only be five items on the desert menu, but they are increadible. Racial discrimination – I was having a romantic dinner there with my husband and overheard a manager telling a server that the Mexicans (I am assuming this was referring to the bussers) were running late so they needed to bus tables til they got there. I was very shocked that people are so ignorant especially in a classy environment such as this restaurant. This type of racial discrimination should not be permitted and I will never go there again.
Best Quality Steak in town and definately best service! – The beef is to die for. You can cut it with a fork. Excellent service to boot! It's a bit pricey, but it's worth the quality! You get what you pay for here! The choc cake to die for. A must have.
Go somewhere else – Yes, the food is good, but only if you are lucky enough to be seated. This restaurant does not take reservations. They have what they say is "call ahead seating" which is nothing but a waiting list. We put our name on the call head list, and still waited an hour. The hostess either forgot we were there or never put our name on the list. Food is good, but for the price go somewhere you can make reservations and not have to wait. Best Steak I've ever had – I had the pleasure of dinning at the river while on buisness. The usual recomendations from my hotels are predictably touristy, but not the Stoney River. It was perfect! From the comfortable environment to the knowledgeable service to the unbelievable food I was in heaven. You have got to give them a try while in Nashville.
Wonderful – I have been here twice, the last time on Valentines day & both times were wonderful. The service is impeccable!! The steaks were wonderful and cooked exactly as requested. The steaks are definitely worth the price. I would recommend this to everyone. After our last visit we even received a card in the mail thanking us for coming to the restaurant! Come here for a great steak, you will not be disappointed!!!
Middle Tennessee's best steak – My wife and I enjoyed Stoney River in Atlanta on many occassions while living there and were thrilled that the restaurant opened in Cool Springs after we had moved here. We were not disappointed. Wonderful portions of great tasting steaks and seafood, a salad dressing to kill for and a staff that is second to none in Nashville. Bravo!
Stoney River - 2 thumbs up – The high menu prices was a bit of a turn off at first, but once our food started arriving, it was most definately worth it. We have been during busy and "not so busy" times and the service was excellent every time. Parking hasn't been a big issue, especially if you don't mine walking from the next parking lot.
