Good Food but Long Wait and Pricey – We called in for the "priority seating" which they claim to seat you in 30 minutes if you call in & put your name on the list. So we were down for 8:00 which means we should have been in our seat by 8:30. We were not seated until 9:30 & there were also several other very unhappy couples who had been there longer than we had. If we had not been given a gift card for Stoney River we wouldnt have stayed. If we are paying for dinner, I refuse to wait more than a half hour for a table anywhere... read more
attentive service – I had lunch here last week and i must say, the service was lovely. I've only been in Nashville since March, and i find that servers always want to be my best friend. Not the case at Stoney River. My server was attentive, friendly and knowledgeabe, but at no time did she try to sit at the table. I found this a real plus. Great Steak – Glad to see stoney river getting some props around here. Ever since it opened in Cool Springs I have been a loyal customer. I have honestly never had a one bad experience eating at the restaurant. I'd recommend starting with the lobster bisque and then ordering the beefsteak tomatoes and mozarella salad. Fantastic service, Steaks that you could cut with a butter knife. – My brother and I had the Cowboy Cut Bone-In Ribeye, and my wife and mother had the Center Cut Siroin. Everything was done to perfection. I hope you save room for desert. There may only be five items on the desert menu, but they are increadible. Racial discrimination – I was having a romantic dinner there with my husband and overheard a manager telling a server that the Mexicans (I am assuming this was referring to the bussers) were running late so they needed to bus tables til they got there. I was very shocked that people are so ignorant especially in a classy environment such as this restaurant. This type of racial discrimination should not be permitted and I will never go there again.
Best Quality Steak in town and definately best service! – The beef is to die for. You can cut it with a fork. Excellent service to boot! It's a bit pricey, but it's worth the quality! You get what you pay for here! The choc cake to die for. A must have.
Go somewhere else – Yes, the food is good, but only if you are lucky enough to be seated. This restaurant does not take reservations. They have what they say is "call ahead seating" which is nothing but a waiting list. We put our name on the call head list, and still waited an hour. The hostess either forgot we were there or never put our name on the list. Food is good, but for the price go somewhere you can make reservations and not have to wait. Best Steak I've ever had – I had the pleasure of dinning at the river while on buisness. The usual recomendations from my hotels are predictably touristy, but not the Stoney River. It was perfect! From the comfortable environment to the knowledgeable service to the unbelievable food I was in heaven. You have got to give them a try while in Nashville.
