Jonathan was an excellent instructor. He broke down the mechanics in an a way that was easy for me to grasp and used good analogies that helped me visualize what the clutch was doing. He gave clear guidance on the basics like finding the bite point, getting smooth starts, upshifting and downshifting. When I stalled, Johnathan calmly talked me through how to recover and keep going. By the end of the lesson, I felt hopeful and more confident to hit the open road. Highly recommend!
I had a great experience learning how to drive a stick shift with Mykwon. He broke the lesson up into periods of instruction and demonstration followed by periods practical application,taking it step by step through the process of turning the car on, getting going and working up through the gears and back down. I would absolutely recommend Stick Shift Driving Academy for anyone who’s a first timer looking to learn how to drive a manual.
I recently had a shift stick driving lesson with one of the instructors ,Mykwon, and it was a really great experience. I had a 3 hr session with Johnathan. He was an excellent teacher. He really has a depth to his explanations; it helps with visualizing and understanding. The way he breaks the skills down, then teaches and layers it one by one till it all comes together is cool. The locale was peaceful and had the curves, turns, slight incline, etc. Definitely recommend.
