Scammed for £6,000 Bought a pair of earrings with my girlfriend priced at £2,500. This number was typed into a calculator and confirmed, then a separate card machine was held for payment. After tapping to purchase, I thought nothing more of the purchase until I saw my credit card statement - I’d been charged £8,500.
