Some good, some bad – I've been to Stella's a few times, each time with groups of 6-8 people. The most recent time, we found the service upstairs to be pleasant and the drink choices good. We ordered appetizers which were pretty good, but tried to share both pastas, which we had to send back. Both were undercooked and chewy, but were delivered warm and cooked the second time. The poppers are really bad - like green peppers with filling. I've had entrees in the past which were good, but not award-winning. This is good for gro... read more

Great food - high prices – Visited Stella's on a Tuesday evening with a friend. The rooftop seating was busy and the main floor restaurant didn't get busy until around 7pm. We were seated immediately - this place has a lot of space. Our server was excellent, she had tried many of the dishes and could recommend and comment on items we chose. We split the Fish and Chips and the Adult Lobster Roll. Fish was perfectly battered and moist and tasty inside. The Lobster Roll had the perfect amount of mayo (barely any) and was also m... read more

Jesse is so much fun – We decided to try Stella's after a difficult day. It was the best idea I have had in a long time. Jesse was the best as she made my parents feel comfortable and discovered that she and my mom have lived in the same duplex only decades apart. My meal of salmon with wasabe potatoes was so great. Gary (manager) was very welcoming and convinced us to stay...I must admit I can be hard to please. Thank you for such a great time. p.s. Jesse, my mom and I will be thinking of you as you go home each night...it ... read more

Top of the Tuna Scale – I would personally have to say that Stella's was one of the best new places I have been to in a long time. I am not normally adventurous in the least but the eclectic and well written menu offered such great tastes that I had to try a few things (I am not an appetizer fan either, bring me the main course and a desert menu on the side). The Frutti di Mare was to die for, the peel-and-eat shrimp were fat and savory and the peanut butter brownie desert was worth every calorie. My only criticism is of the... read more

fresh fish! – I am 3-years new to this fantastic city and coming from the Northeast, I thought my chances for fresh fish were done for (unless you include walleye-which really does grow on you!) I had the most amazing swordfish special and my husband thoroughly enjoyed the salmon. To compliment our dinner, we ordered the grilled asparagus with holandaise sauce and the fried green tomatoes. We took some banana pie home for the kids, as I'd never seen anything so delicious when it "walked" by our table to another guest. It's n... read more

Exceptional – On Friday evening my husband and I went to Stella's for a 6 pm dinner reservation. We decided to get there a little bit early and have a cocktail at the bar. Upon arriving we discovered that Stella's does free oysters, shrimp and other delectables until 7. That was just the start of our good time. Todd our server was excellent - attentive, personable without being too "in your face". I ordered the salmon (delicious) and my husband ordered the ribs (brought home enough for an additional meal). This was my first ... read more

Mixed Feelings – I took a friend and my fiance here knowing absolutley nothing about the place. When I first walked in I loved the atmosphere, very cool yet refined, not too classy at all. I was disapointed with my $10 margarita when it came in a water glass. My blackened catfish po boy was definitely a good find on the menu for $10. My friends crabby patty for $20 wasn't so good of a deal though. My fiances walley basket seemed more like fish sticks out of the freezer. All together the bill with tip was about $88, which was... read more

good food, but for these prices... – Just visted Stella's for the first time with some friends of ours and overall, the place had a fun vibe and good food. The service was excellent. Given how high the prices were, I would absolutely head to McCormick and Schmics for seafood. The blackened fish had wonderful flavor, but the po boy sandwiches are very average. Sides must usually be purchased seperately for the table, which adds to the tab. Stay away from the house wines - yucky. Might be a good place for lunch if prices are c... read more
