Best View of Mpls. Skyline from Uptown! – My husband and I ordered shared a bunch of appetizers like Calamari and PEI Oysters. Very good drinks, atmosphere! The best time to go is in the late spring or summer. Ask to sit on the rooftop! It's very busy but worth the wait.
Great balcony and mojito! – You really can't beat an uptown rooftop in the summer and Stella's is serious competition. The crowd is a little older and better behaved than that of its neighboring rooftop but I really think Stella's has the best Mojitos you can find anywhere in the area. The food is a little pricey for what you get but the service has been great since the credit card fiasco of '06.
Good atmosphere for a group – The food is decent. I highly recommend the hash browns. They are enough for your table to share, and they are delicious. The atmosphere isn't very romantic; however it's a fun place to go with friends.
Nice view – Fun place to enjoy the view of Minneapolis on a nice evening. Expensive food/drinks. Really good lobster roll for the price. Would go again to sit on the patio during nice weather, but only if I was willing to spend the $.
Not worth it... – I recently had dinner with a group of girlfriends, and I was disappointed on several instances with Stella's. The service was friendly; however, INSANELY slow. We waited for our food for over an hour with no appologies or excuses. When it finally arrived, it was below average---luke warm, sloppy, dry. It was fast food on a nice plate... very nice open air 3rd floor – Had lunch today. The view from the roof was very nice even for a cloudy day. At night it must be particularly appealing. My companion had the tilapia tacos which she pronounced merely adequate. I had the oyster po' boy. I'd had one oyster po' boy in my life, appropriately in New Orleans. I was unimpressed then with the notion of deep-fried oysters in a large roll, and I remain unimpressed after having Stella's version of it. Best Dining Experince I've Had In Months! – I recently dined on Stella's rooftoop patio with a few of my friends on a beautiful Saturday evening, and I just wanted to compliment this establishment. Their patio is easily the setting in ALL of Minneapolis! ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS! – We went to Stella's for my husband's birthday last Wednesday night. It was so great, I cannot even rave enough about it! Everything was awesome. We had a terrific server, Kelly---she was fantastic. She was exactly what you hope for in a server when you are out for a special occasion. Awesome experience! – My husband & I had such a great experience at Stella's on the patio. We selected an assortment of oysters from the Oyster bar based on recommendations of our server - loved the Buffalo Shrimp and Fresh Ahi Tuna Mixed Greens Salad. We also loved the Lobster & Shrimp hashbrowns - a little pricey for hashbrowns but the portion serves 2-4.
